Who has been a beacon for you recently?

Posted on Apr 11th, 2008 by C. : Is Am Art! C.
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for April 10, 2008:

I recently recalled this man, a friend who resides in India and one can refer to him as Dionysus Junior. I conjured my memory knowing him from my teenage years. I found him on line doing this. But you have to begin here to understand fully grasp the depth of the whole in line track. I am so thankful the Universe is guiding my voice and I fully appreciate the gift of seeing. Let my love outshine lost deacons beacons drifting misplaced hope. We have many gifts at our disposal we just have to refind the truth to remember.

I recognize and acknowledge we are conscious folks here. Please pass this Response QaR and my friends work on to the clueless...

Loving this Gaia Family!!!

Synchronicity: April Fools Timing

Posted on Apr 3rd, 2008 by C. : Is Am Art! C.

This entry is a humble exposure of the synchronicity that surrounds the perspective that this site (cite and sight) depicts, explains, and explores. I didn't sit here and wait for the clock to present the date and time 04/03/2008 12:33PM. It is a numerical pattern that can be read. The repeating of sequences makes a verbal poetic stance: Four, three, two ate one, two three... reversed double c you see. The mystics' didactic approach to language is the depth and scope of my thesis for my master's degree in Transformative Arts from John F. Kennedy University's School of Holistic Studies: Department of Arts and Consciousness.

Currently, I have finished my second book which is my cell phone photographs compiled as an invisible story line. This book is titled The Book of Secrets: Ritual Observations Mapping the Ordinary and the Mundane. The "SecretexT" of this book is presented in alphabetic formed text using sign language stamps. If one does not know sign language, I've added a page of text to the rear that decodes the frozen hand gestures. Think that is deep? Well it is! And the pictures thread a yarn that is even deeper. View Art: Synchronicity's Space here the blog is about a picture inside this book. (This has been modified 04/10/08: In fact, there are two pictures pages 38 and 39. The third photo is the same location as page 39. But, it is less than a month after the first large photo's date (03/26/08). Ironically, the third photo was taken two days after I made the posting. Today))

Viewing Art: Synchronicity's Space page 39 is a graffiti tagged billboard. The original billboard was for a movie titled Forgetting Sarah Marshall that read: My mom always hated you Sarah Marshall. It is quite beautiful because Sarah Marshall has been cleared out and replaced with CAPITALISM! This image is page 39 of The Book of Secrets. The Book of Secrets is a visual tale that trails the ordinary and the mundane: balls, dead ducks, rubberbands, a pepsi can, posted coke, freemasonry, religion, a real San Francisco secret (as to who built the first port), consumerism/waste, talking grapes and the car. Page 38 was a photo taken March 24th, 2008 (2 days before page 39.) I'm not forcing the fits or the making up the numbers. It is! There is no serendipity or coincidence distorting my world's view.

Also, I would like to apologize to my Gaia folks in here: I'm sorry I'm such a lame friend my world is craziee because I living through my heART!

Killed by 10 Cock Cocktails; 3 Crowing Artistic Dreams: Thesis Thoughts

Wow, I just had to stop reading the most profound book that I have read in years. Hold your letters, numbers and symbols folks because the truth behind our vocal sounds is unbelievably loud. I suppose that is why so many purchase (per chase) I-Pods. This lovely little manuscript is titled Afrikan Alphabets: The Story of Writing in Afrika is written by Saki Mafundikwa a graphic designer, typographer, design educator and founder of ZIVA –Zimbabwe Institute of Vigital Arts—a graphic design and new media training college in Harare, Zimbabwe. So, those of you who read it here first will know how I and why I will…

Page thirteen discusses pictographs and displays an example made by the Jokwe people of Angola.

"It tells the story of the beginning of the world…

Once upon a time the Sun went to pay his respects to God. He walked for many days until he found the path that led to God. Upon presenting himself to God, he was given a cock and instructed to return the next morning before he set off on his long journey back. Sun slept soundly all night and was awakened by the cock, which crowed loudly. He then went to see God who said, "I heard the cock crow, the one I gave you for supper. You may keep him, but you must return every morning." This is why the sun encircles every morning.

The Moon also went to visit God and was given a cock   who also woke him up in the morning. God said to him, "I see that you also did not eat the cock I gave you for supper. Well done, but come back and see me every twenty-eight days."?

Man went to see God too, and was also given a cock. Tired and hungry after his long trip, he ate half the cock and left the rest for his returning trip. When he finally woke up, the sun was already high in the sky. He quickly ate the remainder of the cock and hurried to see God. God smiled at him and said, "What about the cock I gave you yesterday? I did not hear him crow this morning.”

The  man got scared and stammered, ’I was hungry . . . and ate him." "It’s all right," said God, "but listen: you know that the Sun and Moon have been here, but neither of them killed the cock I gave them. This is why they will never die. You killed yours and you must die as he did, but at your death you must return here." And so it is."

Synchronicity, it so is that deeply woven into the very fiber of my blog  ging:gnig  gold... existence! Chickens can draw. Spanish cocks crow, “ Caca, I doodle do.”

The Truth of Art Behind Word and Symbol March 15, 2008

A premier workshop "unfolded"  the Text of The Book of Logos: Dispelling the Myths. One can view photos here at: http://cemooreart.gaia.com. The workshop began with me the artist/ author introducing myself and these enormous projects. After an ice breaker of making an eight-sided die, participants performed Chi Gung Tiger's Breath. From the deck version of The Book of Logos, each participant drew cards. Next, each person read the text, in their personalized copy that corresponded to the image, they had selected. Then, everyone made their own artistic interpretation expressing their own perspective. Before leaving, each person wrote a word: hope, laughter, amor, zoom, and ecdysis. Ecdysis is a noun describing the shedding of a skin. Getting this book's best print to release the first edition has been an ecdysis adventure. My thirteenth rendition of edits will be my final and best print. I conducted this workshop using copies that had error, mistakes or typos: three minor and one major. My editors couldn't have caught the biggest one. Thus, the humbling experience of having to be less than perfect. Here in, revealed the hand in handmade that is binding this book. This is a labor of love that has not been an easy or light task!

This month, it is my goal to have multiple copies of the first edition printed and bound before my 39th birthday.

02/07/08...369 The Text to the Logos has NUMBERS on my mind

Being on the ONE, numbers are endless. It has taken many days because what I thought was only two has become four. So now, dispelling my own myths as an artist, I have to crunch the numbers so, that I can get my new books and cards to you the viewer and connoisseur.

By the way, this blog is concerning my new book titled The Book of Logos: Dispelling the Myths. This book is the first alchemical text that has text made by a black woman. And the first alchemical text, in 200 years to be handmade and available to a public audience. This book holds the symbolic charm of the old world while decoding the meaning for a current NOW.

Reading The Book of Logos: Dispelling the Myths whether it be the cards, pictures or text is bound to expand any perspective and forecast the exact viewpoint!

Four ISBNs, will be coming soon!!!

Question: What is full and what is empty?

Is the glass half filled or is it half empty? Honestly, I see the glass as whole casting a complete shadow. The two glasses together are full. The only thing that is empty is the cricket whose head has been removed. The image Beheading: Decapitating Jim Crow's Cricket is from my new book called The Book of Logos: Dispelling the Myths. I am handmaking cards from the book's imagery that can used for visualization or divining.

Transforming Information and Eradicating the Boundaries

Posted on Oct 30th, 2007 by C. : Is Am Art! C.

Well Folks, if you have felt a shift perhaps you sense the gentle breeze of the birthing of my alchemical treatise, The Book of Logos: Dispelling the Myths. I cannot begin to explain the love of labor that goes into making a book. My mind was blown once I had the first copy...there have been about five. I believe this is a modest number considering the perfection that is publishing. I believe this is a very, very important book. Besides my own self-aggrandizement, this book holds a visual message. Using Art, I have established a common ground of understanding nature and the very paradigm we collectively manifest. I believe that most of turmoil comes from our very own negotiations of discrepancies. That means we collectively say yes even though individually we mean no. It is really how racism and any other "ism" still exist despite our own consciousness or awareness. The root of our despair is that many of us do not want to process the many numbers that make the whole. I know where I come from and there is no ape in my family tree. The key to this book is that it uses minimal words. This book is magical and straight from a black woman's divine perspective. Surely, the ideas that will pop out of my book have never been so tastefully and tactfully approached. My goal is to make this book accessible to truly any budget, not just the artistic palette. It is a big stretch extruding the impossible. However, I assure any anxious reader: this book is a worthy investment and I back my word applying the highest visible integrity know as craftsmanship! Get ready planet Earth The Book of Logos: Dispelling the Myths has arrived...

I dare youse to call me chicken?

Today, I purchased seven Chinese silver coins at the Berkeley Flea Market from a man named LC. I think it was great synchronicity considering that I assembled the first sample copy of my book titled: The Book of Logos: Dispelling the Myths. It is a small hand held book containing 78 images of my Art. Honestly, I dare folks to view my photos and get a glimpse/preview of the pop up 7 Alchemical Operations chapter. Please don't be polite, call me chicken because I am accomplishing my number three goal!

Update Seeking New Friends: Artistic Plea Addressing Photo Albums

Posted on Sep 22nd, 2007 by C. : Is Am Art! C.

Well Zaadzsters even though, I am a Master's Candidate in the Transformative Art program at John F. Kennedy University, I am merely a student. I am full of folly and sometimes inept or inane aspiring to become an adept. I am merely the vessel that channels this Art that one can...and yes, may witness viewing My Photos here at cemoore.zaadz.com.

My Cell Phone Photos are just that, pictures as seen through my phone's lens. The trick for proper viewing of all the photos is to use the photo enlargement. The drawings are tiny. These small images have been scanned or photographed at maximum expansion. Otherwise click on the photo then, click the blue highlighted details and comments text located below the image. This should reopen all my pictures larger. The close-up view of the Berkeley Hills photo has an amazing perspective that is San Francisco, which can be seen this way only.

The 3x3 inches 13 Month Calendar images are part of a larger series of 72 drawings. This series of drawings are visual diagrams examining: The Latin alphabet, The Number 13, The Calendar, The Elements, The Directions and The Planets. It has taken four years to complete these drawings. The beginning of May 2007, I finished them completely. My intent and current creative energy is to compose a handmade book that I will self produce and conduct direct sales. The numbered amount of drawings lends itself to divination. Thus, I am considering fabricating cards similar to tarot, as well. The drawing titled Decapitation: Beheading Jim Crow is the book's watermark. The Book is titled The Book of Logos: Dispelling the Myth.

The New Work Graduate School images are my latest pieces. The last three are such because I broke outside my standard of three by three inches, which was exclusively the scale I drew within for two years prior to attending JFKU. These three drawings are all twelve by twelve inches. Jewel Tara is the only drawing of the three 12x12 inches images in my possession. The other two are in the collections of private parties. The rectangular collage was made during a class with Kaleo Ching and Elise Dirlam Ching. The scale is completely opposite of the 3x3's. This piece is three feet by five feet. There are so many things rotating the five Chinese Elements: Metal, Water, Earth, Wood and Fire. The 12x12 close up of the center gives the viewer just a taste. It is a difficult piece to photograph because of the scale. Behind my bed, this massive collage hovers expanding my "dreamtime."

***** I just expanded this Photo Album adding nine NEW pieces. Five of these drawings are Sri Yantras. The Sri Yantra form represents the Cosmos of Creation. To meditate upon this image and it's form is literally to center returning home. All nine additions use brown handmade paper, a sketchbook made in Kenya. My friend gave me the book as a gift after I completed the goal of my 72 drawings. The brown paper emphasizes my drawing of Leda and the Swan. Can viewers decode my DaVinci? Or is it to far fetched to state that I look like Shakespeare in my Self Portrait Age 11? Amma is the translation of the Dogon's first being. This was the first drawing in the sketchbook which I made on Mother's Day this year.

The Jewelry pieces I have selected I believe are some of the most unusual pieces of jewelry that I have made. The Labyrinth's Path a 1950 silver quarter is not wearable. However, jewelry is a token. As a token, this renewed status is the defacing of my coin. Free Time Space Key: Sundial Ring is just that a wearable devise that tells time. One can see there are three pieces that assemble together composing as an ornate cock's tail of a ring. The unique wearable trait of these pieces is: that they can be worn together or with a piece of leather thong fabricate a bracelet or necklace. The tapered circle can be worn as a dangling hoop earring ornament.

The painting pictured above is made by me, as well. Truly it represents the newest direction of my Art work. (Although, the 9 brown paper additions are the latest. These drawings have only been seen by a few. Thus, they are truly the newest. Note: this artisitic plea has been modified. However, the above painting can only been seen reading this blog. It is not included in any of my photos or albums). Sumi ink and purple watercolor crayon on 5x7 inches of sized watercolor paper. The Chinese symbol is the character for Ambition. The red chop is of a monkey which represents friendship, intelligence and an open heart. The painting was made using my conscious chi and subconscious literal ink stains.

The intent with my art is to challenge what we think we know. I did not necessarily go and seek all that I am presenting here. Surprisingly, the images unfolded themselves to me...Truthfully, I don't know how I made and thus copied the DaVinci's in my work because that isn’t tracing paper that was used folks. I drew the drawings with my naked eye. My work has many things to say, my words barely do the conversation justice.
Zaadz members and friends please, feel free to add comments, please I am requesting your friendship appreciating any Art. It is not about me or numbers. Perhaps an email regarding  any thoughts and or feelings. This is an artist's desperate plea. My humblest gratitude is extended to all readers sending many thanks. Please view my page and see more Art!!! I have added three more pictures that are not mentioned in this blog.
